Admired and revered Italian chef, Agostino Sciandri (AGO) pays homage to the Mediterranean lifestyle with the newly opened Vespaio. Placed on the ground floor of The Emerson and serving up items from the rotisserie, wood-burning ovens with assortments of pastas & pizzas. Also, some chef specialties to get those taste buds tingling include a seared beef carpaccio, charred octopus with fingerling potatoes, a  32 oz. snake river farms American Wagyu top sirloin, and homemade Potato topini with scampi, artichokes and oven roasted tomatoes. In addition to all the detectible bites, Vesprio will offer a happy hour and full cocktail, beer and wine list, with some standout Italian selections, marking it as a winning place to clock for your next magic hour gathering.

Also: location, location, location. Conveniently located across from the MOCA and next to the Broad Museum, opening in September, art show bites are in store.

VESPAIO is a culmination of my father’s life’s work, an elevated, elegant and organic project that reflects its rarified setting on Bunker Hill, says managing partner Sandro Sciandri. And yet, there is something for everyone here: We will be open from morning until late into the night. Diners can enjoy a breakfast of coffee and pastries, lunch after a day at the Broad Museum, or a multi-course Italian dinner.

Sciaandri wanted this restaurant to reflect the modern Italy, with interiors that were inspired by Mid-Century men’s fashion, rendered in timeless materials such as marble and antique brass and the 1,800 -square-foot patio, with a stunning fire feature doesn’t hurt.

Ago wanted a space that is enjoyed day and night, inside and out, says Ralph Gentile. By creating five distinct areas in the restaurant, guests can enjoy a leisurely cappuccino in the morning, a brisk business lunch, a lazy Campari aperitivo on the patio or a fine meal followed by a nightcap after a concert or art opening. Of course Italian fine dining is what Ago is best known for, which makes this restaurant such a draw.

Make sure take a little time out of your busy schedule to spend your morning, noon or night with Vespaio and check out all the upcoming details here.
